Rain, Sleet, Snow, 30 degree win chills, conditions like these would make any normal person cringe, but for the Semo Copperheads it only means one thing, the seasons almost here. After there 2011 campaign that led them all the way to the National Championship, you could say the Copperheads are "shaking" at the chance to make another run at it. With the return of a large amount of last years players mixed with the combination of some new faces, the Conference Championship team feels they are more then capable of making a repeat of last season. The schedule is out and the home field has already been selected this year as Shawnee complex has allowed the Copperheads to use there facilities this season as there home field. Finally having a Cape Girardeau home field will allow a lot more friends, families and fans the opportunity to come to more of the games, and also allow the City of Cape the chance to see some of the hometown players in action along with some players from other regions of Missouri. The Copperheads home opener is against the city rivaled Jackson Apaches on 3/31/2012 at 1pm. The copperheads would like all fans to come out and show there support and bring a friend or two. For those that came out last season they get a chance to experience a championship team from the beginning of the season to the end and also into the playoffs, it was truly a great season considering it was there inaugural year. Join them this season and be apart of this champion trend. The Copperheads are also accepting donations to help fund there 2012 season, all facets of the Semo Copperheads Football Team are paid for by the players, and from a few business sponsors. The Copperheads are a non-profit organization so every sponsor and donations goes toward keeping the team going. Any and every donation is greatly appreciated in helping them on there, "road to victory." Fans and people interested in knowing more about the team, the roster and other information are able to check out the team website at: http://www.cpflfootball.com/semocopperheads/index.php, and can also make donations on there store page at: http://www.cpflfootball.com/semocopperheads/store.php .
