Cape Public Schools Board of Education, at its November board meeting, recognized the accomplishments of the Cape Central High School Tiger Swimmers, who recently competed at the state swim meet at St. Peters, MO. Pictured with Board Vice President Kyle McDonald, left, and Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jim Welker, right, are 200 Free Relay State Qualifiers Ramsey Scott, Christian Retter, Pablo Jaramillo, Sam Rhodes and Coach Dayna Powell. Coach Chad Sierman was not available for the photo. "At the state meet we moved up 9 places and posted our lifetime best splits. The boys worked hard and dropped over 6 seconds during the last 3 weeks of the season to accomplish this remarkable achievement," Coach Powell explained. Ramsey also qualified individually in the 50 and 100 Freestyle. Three years ago, as a freshman, he received All State Honorable Mention. This was the team's 23rd trip to the state meet in as many years.
