What is the most important issue facing Chaffee? What can be done about it?

Several issues have been discussed at council meetings but a solution has not been reached yet. The Sewer project is almost ready to start and we have tried some test patches for new roads and have been saving money to have the roads resurfaced in town. The other issue is trying to get new business in town. We offer lower rent for buildings we own to encourage business owners to consider our town.

What in your background or education makes you qualified for this office?

My 21 years as an officer in the Elks Lodge has given me leadership experience, budget planning, problem solving, and the ability of gaining business knowledge. I have chaired many programs including starting a recycle program for St. Ambrose School. As well as serving as a city councilman for the last 4 years.

What infrastructure improvements would you like to see?

I would like to see Chaffee continue to grow with new business, updated roadways, and a solution to the drainage problem during heavy rains.
