The most important issues facing the City of Chaffee are: the management of budget spending, the repair/maintenance of our city streets/sidewalks, water channeling/drainage, street/alleyway lighting, and the need for increased business. Short-term and long-term goals need to be set and implemented to fix these issues. I would prioritize the issue of water channeling/drainage because the poor water flow and drainage frequently cause flooded roadways, which is a major safety concern for drivers and pedestrians.
My education (AAS Business Management Computer Specialist Degree), personal life experiences, as well as, my work in sales and accounting have given me the experience needed to understand the importance of managing a quality budget. Also, as a 10-year resident of The City of Chaffee, I have come to understand the expectations of the citizens of Chaffee. My focus will always be on what is in the best interest of all Chaffee Citizens.
I would like to see the streets repaired and maintained, improved water flow/drainage to prevent flooded roadways, the cracked and uneven sidewalks fixed, and increased/better lighting in the streets/alleyways. I would also like to see the cleanup of our town by the removal of the many condemned structures, which pose safety concerns for curious children and detract from the beauty of Chaffee.
