To help Cape Public School District families prepare for the new school year, which begins August 16, and the new dress code, school officials are hosting a clothing distribution. Pictured at Cape Central Junior High School Fieldhouse, 205 Caruthers, workers deliver and sort through hundreds of clothing items which were donated by community members last week. The items are available for distribution Tuesday, July 31 and Wednesday, Aug 1, to families needing assistance with suitable clothing. "We want to make the transition to the new dress code as easy as possible," said Deena Ring, Special Services Director, organizer of the drive. Local clothing stores, as well as national vendors, are assisting and answering parents' questions regarding approved articles of clothing. For additional information, Ring can be contacted at 573-335-1867. The dress code, along with pictures of both approved and unapproved clothing, are posted on the District's website at www.capetigers.com.
