Cape School District receives two state awards

At the November meeting of the Cape Girardeau Public School Board, Technology Specialist Kris Oliveira (left) and Public Relations Coordinator Steve Robertson (center) were recognized for their awards of commendation from Missouri School Public Relations Association (MOSPRA). Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jim Welker (right) praised Oliveira and Robertson for their collaboration on an advertisement for the Chamber of Commerce magazine, The Cape. The ad featured a photograph of Cape Central Marching Tigers Band taken by John Scheibe, a parent of two alumni of Cape Central High School. Robertson received a second award of commendation from MOSPRA for the District's Faces of Success brochure, which features twelve outstanding alumni of Cape Girardeau Public Schools.
