PRESS RELEASE
CAPE COUNTY TEA PARTY
MONTHLY MEETING
On September 15, 2015 the Cape County Tea Party (CCTP) will hold its open monthly meeting at DEXTER BBQ in Cape Girardeau. We encourage everyone to come at 5:30 to eat, with our meeting starting at 6:30 PM. Note that this is a change only for the month of September. The meeting is called the Third Tuesday Tea Time and is held on the Third Tuesday of each month to continue the work to complete our Mission as stated below.
Our speaker this month will be Carl Bearden, who is the founder and Executive Director of United for Missouri's Future and United for Missouri. These organizations were founded in July 2010 for the specific purpose of educating, communicating and activating Missourians on and about fiscal and limited government issues. These organizations have over 77,000 members who participate in a wide variety of educational and advocacy issues. He will be speaking about the UFM 2015 scorecard and legislative summary.
Carl was elected to the Missouri House in 2000. He served as budget chair and Speaker Pro Tem during his time in the legislature. He is best known for being a consistent conservative leader and for his time as budget chair when he changed the budget process resulting in more accurate revenue estimates and reduced spending.
Mr. Bearden has worked at various positions in the private sector from large corporations to startups including owning his own company since 1998. His experience in the private sector provided him with a broad array of knowledge and applications of good fiscal management techniques which he applied to his elected positions. He has also served six years in the US Air Force. Carl and his wife, Debbie, will be celebrating 41 years of marriage in November. They have two daughters, a great son-in-law and three of the best grandchildren ever!
Please join us at DEXTER BBQ, September 15, 2015, 5:30 to eat and meeting starting promptly at 6:30 PM!!
