PRESS RELEASE

CAPE COUNTY TEA PARTY

MONTHLY MEETING

On February 17th, 2015 at 6:30pm, the Cape County Tea Party (CCTP) will hold its open monthly meeting at the Cape Girardeau Public Library. The meeting is called the Third Tuesday Tea Time and is held on the Third Tuesday of each month to continue the work to complete our Mission as stated below.

Preparing For The Worst:

Troubled times may be ahead. Curtis Waggoner will join us this month to update the Tea Party on the latest in preparing for self-sufficiency should the worst happen.

Exercising Your Civic Authority:

The Missouri Legislature began its session on January 7th in Jefferson City and have begun debating and passing bills. Are you interested in guiding their votes?

At the last meeting, we split up into groups, reviewed the legislation that has been filed by our local representatives (as well as other high profile legislation), and quickly came up with thoughts and suggestions for their actions / votes in the House and Senate. Should they proceed, vote against, or junk the bill?!

Unfortunately, time ran short for the final discussion of the bills. So, we will reconvene the discussion and finalize our suggestions for our representatives' actions
