The staffs of the Cape Central High School Tiger newspaper and Girardot yearbook brought home the first place Sweepstakes trophy at the Southeast Missouri Student Press Association's Annual Fall Workshop at Southeast Missouri State University Oct. 4. Ellie Kidd placed first in the Write-off category; Hillary Caldwell placed first in Current Events; the Girardot placed first in Cover Design and first in Sports Photography; Dustin Peetz took third place in Current Events; the Tiger placed second in Newspaper Layout and Cover Design; the Girardot placed second in Layout Design and third place in Academic photography; Brooke Burge placed third in Student Life photography.
