Cape Area Family Resource Center After School Program has begun.

If you were to come by the Resource Center from 3:30 to 5:30 Mon-Thurs you would see a full building brimming with students, volunteers and staff interacting as the After School Program has begun. We had been advertising early sign ups for students over the last few weeks, but only had 11 applications turned in. We knew the first week would be a smaller group, until the word was out that YES, we were open and back to serving our community. So you can understand when we took attendance on Monday September 8th why we were so surprised when we counted 17 students and 5 volunteers who had joined the staff here at CAFRC for the first day of our 2008-2009 After School Programming. It was a wonderful sight. We are still actively enrolling students and accepting volunteer applications. Our hours are Mon-Thursday, 9 am to 6 pm. The after school program begins at 3 pm till 6pm. Open to any K-8th grade student who has transportation to and from The Resource Center.
