"He's an outstanding, all-round student who enjoys social studies and geography," said Becky Mocherman, social studies teacher at Cape Central Junior High School. Joshua's mother, Lisa, said her son began learning the names of states and their capitals at a very early age. "He's always watching the news, so he knows everything that goes on," she said.

Joshua plans to go into some sort of science research when he completes his education.
