Innsbrook, MO - June 11, 2015 the Gateway PGA held the one and only opportunity for Missouri junior golfers to qualify for the IMG Junior World Qualifier to be held in July at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, California. In the boys 15-17 division the competition was fierce. Caleb Picker, Frankie Thomas, and Jack Litzelfelner III all tied for 1st place with one under par posting a score of 69. The competition was continued in a sudden death playoff starting on hole 10 at the beautiful Innsbrook Resort Golf Club. Hole 10 knocked out Frankie Thomas while Jack L. and Caleb P. continued on to hole 11 where both players parred the dog legged hole. Moving on to hole 12 a par 3, Caleb Picker was able to clinch the 1st place qualifying position.

Caleb Picker will represent the state of Missouri at the IMG Academy Junior World Championships in July in San Diego, CA. The event was formally the Callaway Junior World Championship and was founded in 1968. The event has grown to 1200 participants representing 55 countries and 42 states. It will kick-off with a flag ceremony Sunday evening followed by a day of practice rounds and four days of competition.

Caleb Picker will be beginning his Junior year in high school next fall. He is a resident of Moscow Mills, Mo and is homeschooled. Caleb spends many hours a day practicing on his home course, Old Hickory Golf Course in St. Peters, MO. He is coached under the instruction of Ed Schwent.
