S.A.L.T. (Seniors and Lawmen Together) is raffling off a fishing boat to benefit the Law Enforcement Memorial Fund. The boat is a 14ft Buddy aluminum john boat complete with a Johnson 6 hp motor, 1977 Rich trailer, trolling motor and Hummingbird fish finder. Tickets can be purchased for $10 or 3 for $25.
The boat can be seen at the Jackson Police Department. Tickets are available at the Jackson Police Department, Cape Girardeau Police Department and the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department. The drawing will be held on April 10th at the Jackson Police Department and you need not be present to win.
S.A.L.T. hosts the annual Police Memorial Ceremony in May which honors law enforcement officers from our area that have lost their life in the line of duty. S.A.L.T. also is responsible for the Law Enforcement Monument located at Cape County Park. The funds from this raffle will help pay for the Law Enforcement Memorial, upkeep of the monument and other S.A.L.T. projects.
