Leading up to their 3rd Annual FUNdraiser: Birdhouse Bash, Discovery Playhouse is hosting a Birdhouse Making Contest. The contest and prizes are sponsored by Montgomery Bank. With Youth, Adult and Professional divisions, the Museum is excited to see the entered creations. "We just thought this would be a great way to involve the community in our biggest fundraiser of the year," said Jennifer Mullix, Executive Director. "Our Birdhouse Bash will be an elegant, garden party-theme gala featuring heavy appetizers(sponsored by Port Cape Girardeau Restaurant), drinks, live music, dancing and a silent auction." The highlight of the event is the raffle prize of a Private Dinner Party, hosted by Bravo TV's Top Chef Texas contestant, Chef Heather Terhune. Chef Heather will also be attending the Birdhouse Bash, on March 23rd, and preparing a feature hors d'oeuvre. The proceeds from the event will go to support the educational programming and exhibits at the Children's Museum.
