Monday, May 23, the Avon Cares program deployed two 17-foot trailers making over 40 stops in communities throughout the affected region, starting in Tennessee and culminating in Mississippi. Avon will be giving away nearly 170,000 personal care products, including lip balm, shower gel, deodorant, and insect repellent, based on reported need by local residents. These care packages will be distributed to local Representatives, families and communities. Avon Cares mobile vehicles will be a place to connect with family, friends and loved ones - in person or through computers and Wi-Fi which will be available on-site.

According to the National Weather Service, it is estimated that more than 300 tornadoes touched down in the South during the month of April, resulting in a death toll of reportedly over 250.

"Disaster relief has long been a critical component of Avon's philanthropy," said Jorge Martinez-Quiroga, Senior Vice President & President of North America. "We believe it is our responsibility as a global corporate citizen to lend our support to the relief efforts aiding local Representatives and their communities."
