Artisan Contracting of Cape Girardeau, MO is hosting the third Annual Charity Golf Tournament to benefit The MASTERS on Monday, October 3, 2016 at the Cape Girardeau Country Club. Mr. Larry Frankum is president/owner of Artisan Contracting. There are 20 four-man teams scheduled for the tournament to provide support and raise awareness for this important charity.
The Missouri Association of State Troopers Emergency Relief Society "The MASTERS" was formed in 1979 for the purpose of establishing an entirely voluntary benevolent fund for the financial aid of a trooper's immediate surviving family member (wife or husband) and children if he or she is killed in the line of duty. The MASTERS assists with funeral expenses, loan payments, mortgage payments and immediate bills. It also provides scholarships for the officer's dependent children and the surviving spouse. Directors of The MASTERS from that area take the troopers' family under their protective guidance, and from this fund help solve their financial problems.
Since the formation of The MASTERS in 1979, the Missouri State Highway Patrol has experienced 21 line of duty deaths. Missouri is fortunate in having one of the finest law enforcement agencies in the country – The Missouri State Highway Patrol. Membership in The MASTERS is a way that good citizens can show their support and appreciation for this professional police agency.
