Taking advantage of yesterday's sunny weather, three Apache Helicopters from Whiteman AFB dropped into Cape's Airport for fueling and a lunch break at Sandy's Place. At the time, the airport was still closed to fixed-wing aircraft, but was accepting helicopter traffic, and we fueled these guys when they arrived...

At the time, the airport was still closed to fixed-wing aircraft, but was accepting helicopter traffic, and we fueled these guys when they arrived.

A short time after their departure the 28-10 runway was opened, allowing fixed-wing operations to crank back up.
