Only minor changes have been made in the recently released schedule for the East Perry Community Fair, which will be held in Altenburg on Friday and Saturday, September 25 and 26. One addition to the schedule will be a 4-H public speaking contest which will be held on the stage at 10:00 am on Saturday.
The lineup for the musical entertainment will be the same as in 2008 with the country rock group "Thundercreek" appearing on Friday at 6:30 pm. Saturday's music will be provided by the Saxony Hills Community Band at Noon, "Reminisce" at 2:00 pm, and the Jackson Municipal Band at 6:00 pm.
Fairgoers can expect significant changes in the traffic routes and parking at the fair to better handle the increased size of the crowds and to better utilize the additional parking lots which have been added in recent years. Drivers are asked to pay close attention to the signs and to the law enforcement officers and parking attendants in order to help traffic flow smoothly.
