On April 2, 2015, Oak Ridge 4th Grade took a field trip to Jefferson City. They were able to tour the Governor's Mansion, the Capitol Building, and had a short amphibian presentation at Runge Nature Center. Our kids had a wonderful time and had been looking forward to this trip all year. Thanks to our wonderful PTO, we are able to rent a bus and take this trip each year. The adults on the top (Left to Right) are Mrs. Sievers (4th Grade teacher), Candyce Clay (4th Grade Intervention), Dr. Eftink (Oak Ridge Elementary Principal), and Mrs. Watson (Interventionist). Of course, the other woman is Donna Lichtenegger (our Representative). The students were able to watch and listen to both sides on the bill to say the Pledge of Allegiance in classrooms each day in the House of Representatives. They were very interested. We hope to continue this yearly tradition.
