The Boys & Girls Club of Cape Girardeau will be hosting their 2nd Annual Spaghetti Dinner to benefit the Afterschool program this Thursday, October 27, 2011, from 6pm to 8pm.
The fundraiser, held at the American Legion Hall on Thomas Drive in Cape, will feature salad and breadsticks from Olive Garden, all-you-can-eat spaghetti, drinks, and dessert for one low price of $6.00 for adults, $3.00 for kids 12 and under.
This event gives the youth currently being served by the Club's afterschool program an opportunity to volunteer and socialize with the community that supports their programs and activities.
Since the partnership, formed with the City of Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation department, the Boys & Girls Club of Cape Girardeau has experienced a marked increase in enrollment, with many youth still waiting to attend.
Located at 1913 Whitener Street, the Boys & Girls Club of Cape Girardeau has served the youth of Cape Girardeau for over 10 years. New to the Club is the partnership formed with the City of Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department. The Club provides programs for more than 150 boys and girls in the areas of character and leadership development; educational enhancement; career preparation; health and life skills; the arts; and sports, fitness and recreation.
