The 2nd Annual Horseshoes 4 'everyday' HEROES Tournament was held on Saturday, October 10 at the Al Friga Farm. Proceeds benefitted the Retired Senior Volunteer Program/Volunteer Intergenerational Center in providing services to other HEROES and Organizations needing everyday heroes (our volunteers). The Marine Corps League Corporal Mason O. Yarbrough Detachment 1081 presented the Color Guard/Honor Guard during the event - our sincerest thanks to these gentlemen.
1st Place Winners were Wayne Nations and Randy Pringer with a score of 36. 2nd Place Winners were Randy Senciboy and Larry Glastetter with a score of 27 and 3rd Place Winners were Tom Gartside and David St. Cin with a score of 22. Ursula Pujol was the winner of the 50/50 drawing and won a total of $352.00. A special moment during the event was when Al Friga, the farm owner, sang a song without background music. What a treat it was!! Our deepest and special thanks to him for the use of his farm for our event.
