What is the most important issue facing the Kelly School Board?

Finances. With enrollment being down from previous years and cutbacks in financial aid from state and federal agencies and the No Child Left Behind mandates it is becoming more of a challenge to stretch the dollars and still maintain high enough teacher salaries to ensure that Kelly students receive the quality education that we as a school board must make sure is available to them.

What in your education or background makes you qualified for this office?

I have worked on both sides of supervision in several capacities through the years and understand the struggles of working with people from several points of view.

Why are you better qualified than your opponent(s)?

I have been on the Kelly School Board for five years now and have been involved in several key issues and been a part of some major improvements and would like the chance to finish some of the other projects that the board has started to make the learning experience for the students at Kelly the best that it can possibly be.
