Christmas tree lot

Members of the Optimist Club unloaded 2,000 holiday trees the night of Dec. 1, 1959, on a West Broadway Christmas tree lot, where the club conducted its annual tree sale. From the left are Elmore Kassel, David Hawkins, Frank Lewis, Virgil Chirnside and a truck driver, Charles Hager. The trees were shipped in a boxcar, then taken by truck to the lot.
