Facebook, Instagram and Twitter are a few of the ways people communicate with one another and express their individuality. "Outfit of the Day," "Photo of the Day" and "Weekend Wear" are phrases used in social media by users showing off their fashion sense or unique digs for a special event or just a regular day. I found three Cape Girardeau residents who strut their stuff on the cyber catwalk often enough to catch my eye. Check them out!
The first photo is of Demetria Renee, a student at Southeast Missouri State University. She is summer fab with classic cutoff jean shorts, embellished metallic sandals and an on-trend flowing, sheer, printed, three-quarter sleeve jacket. She makes it young with a fuchsia tube top peeking out from underneath. This look is perfect for a hot summer day by the grill or poolside. Demetria has fearless style! Look out for her on Instagram @demdemm.
The second photo features two style-makers: Rosalea Allgood and Kyleigh Maevers-Baliva. They struck a pose at the Boas and Bling charity event in May and posted the picture on their personal Facebook pages. Many attendees wore Kentucky Derby hats, and Rosalea and Kyleigh went retro with their choices. Blonde bombshell Kyleigh wore a rich cream and chocolate patterned dress to go with her fancy white hat. The unique repetitive print, deep neckline and shortened sleeve make this a very flattering choice. Rosalea added vintage accessories to her silk suit dress. She paired a 1960s DeLizza & Elster necklace and black Bakelite bracelet, and she carried a 1940s or `50s green faux alligator handbag to top off her look. It looked flawless and fun! Both of these ladies were dressed to the nines and looked like they had a ball.
When you take a perfect selfie or showcase your outfit of the day, tag us at #flourishmag, #buytheriver or my personal Instagram @sherae79. We would love to see it! Enjoy the summer!
