1. What is the most important issue facing Scott City Public Schools? I would have to say the prospect of the school funding formula being changed and Scott City school losing much needed funds.
2. Funding the increase to the school foundation formula is a point of debate among state politicians. What should the district do to prepare for a potential shortfall in funding? Take a look at all areas and list the functions/jobs that could be either redistributed or combined. Then evaluate the importance of those areas and make decisions on how to cut out extra costs that do not hurt the educational needs of our students.
3. What in your background or education makes you qualified for this office? I graduated from Scott City High School and have been on the PTO and volunteered for other school functions. I also served a previous three-year term on the Scott City School board. Performing community service is a great reward for me.
