Today

Craft fair from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Immaculate Conception School in Jackson, Mo. The fair is held in the school gym and is sponsored by St. Ann's Sodality.

Voice for Life convention begins at 8 a.m. at St. Denis parish hall in Benton, Mo. Fees are $15 for adults and $10 for students, with a $40 maximum per family. A Mass will be celebrated at 4 p.m. to conclude the day.

Featured speaker will be the Rev. Germain Kopaczynske, director of education at the National Catholic Bioethics Center in Boston. He will speak on beginning of life issues. Other speakers include Monsignor Michael Swalina of New Madrid, Mo., and Barb McKeon of Cape Girardeau. The Rev. John J. Leibrecht, bishop of the Springfield-Cape Girardeau diocese, will be the luncheon speaker. A program for youth will include Christian Wilson and Frank Ellis, principal at Alma Schrader Elementary School in Cape Girardeau.

Leibrecht will celebrate Mass at 6 p.m. at Guardian Angel church in Oran, Mo., where 28 candidates will be presented for conformation.

Fish fry dinner at 6 p.m. at Bethany Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. Evangelist Jim McNeil will portray the "big fisherman." McNeil, of St. Louis, has been an evangelist for 35 years and does dramatic presentation of Bible characters.

Shiloh Baptist Church in Villa Ridge, Ill., will feature the Brownings and the Gloryroad Travelers during a gospel singing service at 7 p.m. at the church.

Holiday at Hobbs dinner will be served from 3-6 p.m. at Hobbs Chapel United Methodist Church. Meal is $6 for adults and $3 for children.

Sunday

Rick Stanley, Elvis Presley's stepbrother, will speak during the 9 and 10:30 a.m. services at Lynwood Baptist Church.

The Rev. John J. Leibrecht, bishop of the Springfield-Cape Girardeau diocese, will celebrate Mass at 7:30 and 9 a.m. at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, Mo.

Pork sausage supper at 3:30 p.m. at Hanover Lutheran Church, sponsored by the Men's Club. The meal is served buffet-style and tickets cost $6 for adults and $3 for children 6-12. Carry-outs are available.

Celebration from 3-5 p.m. at Freedom Rock Youth Center to honor the Rev. Gary and Rose Brothers for their 10th anniversary at Cape First Assembly of God Church. A special service also will be held at 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday

First Tuesday Noon Worship and praise service at La Croix United Methodist Church. The meeting is open to all churches in the community.

United Methodist Women's group at Centenary United Methodist Church will meet at noon in the Family Life Center lobby. Reservations are required. Dorothy March will give a devotion and Martha Maxton will preside over the business session. The program will be presented by Martha Sanderson. The executive committee will meet at 10:30 am. in room 253.

Thursday

Revival at 7 p.m. at Free Trinity Pentecostal Church in Randles, Mo., with V.L. Barnes end-time ministries.

Registration deadline for Cape Girardeau County Christian Women's Club meeting. The meeting will be at noon Nov. 12 at Holiday Inn. For information, call Pat Renner at 334-1673. Tickets are $8.75 and include complimentary day care for children infants to 10.

Friday

The Gabriels ministry team will perform at 7 p.m. at the A.C. Brase Arena Building for a homecoming singing service. Guests include the Greenes, Palmetto State Quartet and the Unthanks family.

Revival at 7 p.m. at Free Trinity Pentecostal Church in Randles, Mo., with V.L. Barnes end-time ministries.
