1. What is the most important issue facing Perry County Memorial Hospital? I believe the most important issue facing Perry County Memorial Hospital is to continue giving the best health care possible to Perry County citizens. The hospital has been successfully accomplishing this, and they are in the process of a major expansion that will allow them to continue giving the best that they can give to our community.
2. What in your background or education makes you qualified for this office? One of the most important qualifications I have comes from the experience of owning, operating and managing a business. I attained a degree in finance from Southeast Missouri State University and on a daily basis work in the areas of finance, management and marketing in my real estate office. I am extremely well-organized and exceptionally versed at problem solving, communicating and analyzing data. Recently, I served on the board of directors for the Perryville Area Chamber of Commerce and as the past president. I also have a desire to continue serving Perryville in yet another way, putting to use the talents I have to help others.
3. Why are you better qualified than your opponents? I believe I am best qualified because I have previous experience from actively participating in the community. I have a strong passion for helping others, which I do through various drives at my business. By being actively involved in the community, I am in constant contact with many people on a day-to-day basis. I have a strong ability to listen and would therefore lend an ear to their health care concerns and help bridge the line of communication between the public and the hospital. I am an OASIS volunteer at Immanuel Lutheran School and through this program have seen the needs of the younger generation, who are the future of the Perryville community. I take my involvement in any organization I participate in or represent seriously, and I would do my utmost to fulfill the required duties of serving on the hospital board.
