__What is the most important issue facing the Oran School District? What can be done about it?__

There are many important issues we face, but one that is always in the forefront is finance. Every year it seems it is up to the local school districts to do more with less.

__What in your background or education makes you qualified for this office?__

I have been in business and investing for almost twenty years now since graduating from college. I also have set and worked within various budgets through different economic conditions. If we are to do more with less and still keep academics high, teacher wages competitive, etc. all with less from the state then my experience will be an asset.

__Where do you stand on the issue of Common Core standards?__

I am against common core. The state of Indiana has already withdrawn from it and Oklahoma is considering different standards along with others. It has some major flaws and too much government intrusion into public schools that should be up to states.

__Do you think the Oran School District is a good place for teachers to work? Why or why not?__

Oran is a great place to work and we want every teacher out there to want to be here. Good teachers are a major piece to the puzzle of great academics. Their enthusiasm spreads to the students which in turn reflect our great scores and success.
