One of the major issues local school boards face is the state not funding the formula at the full rate. If the state would fund the formula at the full rate schools would not have to worry about budget issues and funding.

__What is your view on Common Core educational standards?:__

With Common Core a good aspect is that all states will be held to equal standards and they will be able to compare Standardized tests. An issue is that some people feel that power will be taken away from local school districts.

__Do you think the Oak Ridge School District is a good place for teachers to work?__ Why or why not?:

Yes, I think Oak Ridge School District is a good place for teachers to work because they like being able to teach in a small school atmosphere. Also Oak Ridge has educationally achieved many high scores and academic excellence.
