Notre Dame had Jim Glastetter on the bench for both baseball championships and Brad Wittenborn at the helm for both basketball titles.

The Bulldogs' basketball state champions were led by the guard play of Ronnie Ressel, who still holds the state final four record for assists in a game. Ressel had 19 assists in a semifinal game against Monroe City in 1986, and set the championship record with 17 assists against Hartville in 1987.

Ressel dished them out while Danny Dohogne put them away. Dohogne was a second-team all-state member in 1986, and made the first team in 1987 to go along with the SEMO player of the year. Ressel was first-team all state both years.
