Montgomery Bank has donated $24,000 over a three-year period to support the Southeast Missouri Food Bank's Backpacks for Friday program.
Montgomery Bank wants you to know that they have all the things other banks have.
It has personal and business accounts, cash management services, investment services and mortgage services.
But the employees also want you to know about another thing they have that they are most proud of.
They have a heart.
The bank and its employees are extremely active within the communities.
In addition to five St. Louis locations and two in Cape Girardeau, Montgomery Bank has branches in Sikeston, Miner, Dexter, Chaffee and Jackson, making it one of Missouri's largest family-owned, privately held banks.
One of the ways Montgomery Bank is involved in the community is its support and sponsorship of events at senior centers in their areas of service.
In addition to sponsoring Senior Idol at Jackson Homecomers and Senior Day at the SEMO District Fair, the bank hosts seminars and events that educate seniors on financial matters and help them avoid becoming victims of fraud.
At the other end of the demographic spectrum, Montgomery Bank is active in Teach Children to Save Day and Get Smart About Credit Day, events that teach financial literacy to the youths of the communities they serve.
In addition to community financial literacy efforts, the bank has donated $24,000 over a three-year period to support the Southeast Missouri Food Bank's Backpacks for Friday program, which will provide children in need with a backpack containing 10 pounds of nutritious food. The bank is also providing volunteer help to load the backpacks with food.
"We are excited to be a part of the Backpacks for Friday program," said Kent Puchbauer, community bank president for Montgomery Bank.
