Memberships: Sedgewickville, United Methodist Church, church outreach team, men's group

Reason for running: I want to help schools get better by finding better ways for doing things. I want to help the children's test scores get better. I want people to continue to be proud of our school.

Other experience: During my career I have had many opportunities to interview high school graduates. I have a lot of knowledge and understanding of what businesses and colleges are looking for in a high school graduate. In my current position I am responsible for a budget very similar to that of our school, so I believe I can help bring some good sound leadership and money management decision-making ability to our school district.

Main challenges: The school has lower test scores than other area schools. Other issues include teachers' salaries and rising costs across the board.

Main assets: Good teachers, good facility, good community support
