__Previous offices held or sought:__ Secretary of the Scott County R-IV (Kelly) school district Board of Education

__What is the most important issue facing the Kelly School District? What can be done about it?__

I feel that the most important issue facing all of our school districts is providing the best education possible for our young people. We, at Kelly, strive to provide our students with the best teachers and administrators that we can in order to give the best opportunity to succeed.

__What in your background or education makes you qualified for this office?__

I have served on the Kelly school board for the past 6 years and feel that I can continue to serve our community, students and teachers in this capacity. I am a graduate of Sikeston High School and have had 2 of my children graduate from Kelly, with another child still in the Kelly school district.

__Where do you stand on the issue of Common Core standards?__

I am presently trying to find out as much information possible about the Common Core standards. I want to give our students the best curriculum out there that will enable them to graduate and go on to higher education.

__Do you think the Kelly School District is a good place for teachers to work? Why or why not?__

Yes, I feel that the Kelly School District is a great place for teachers to work! I feel that we, as a school district, make every effort to support all of our faculty. Our school district is growing right now and I believe we will continue in that growth. We have many teachers who have been with us for many years, which is a good indication of how well they like our District.
