On the heels of their world championship, St. Louis made a stop in Jackson on Oct. 6, 1958, for an exhibition game with the Philadelphia Warriors at Jackson High School. St. Louis did not disappoint the local fans, winning 103-85.

Making the NBA's stop in Southeast Missouri more special for basketball fans was a strong performance from Puxico High School star Win Wilfong, who scored 16 points for the Hawks. NBA legend Bob Petit led the Hawks with 18 points, while the Warriors were led by Paul Arizin with 21.
