Fall festival at Metropolis
METROPOLIS, Ill. -- The Metropolis Fall Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 27 on the Courthouse Square. Kids can play in the "Needle in a Haystack" play area and adults can try corn shucking, corn shelling and apple bobbing. An apple pie bake off will be held also. Homemade pies must be delivered by noon to the tent on the courthouse lawn...
