Like all homeowners, you want the greenest grass you can get for your lawn. But beautiful grass doesn’t happen by accident.
This is the perfect time of year to start planning for the best lawn ever. There are a few things you should start doing right now to prepare for this spring and summer.
Here are the best tips for the greenest grass this year:
* Make sure your lawn mower is in excellent condition. Sharpen your blades, and, generally speaking, keep the mow height high.
* Walk over your lawn and check for any debris. You will want to remove any sticks, branches, rocks and leaves before you mow.
* Begin developing a strategy to control the weeds in your yard. Weeds can overpower your grass very quickly. Sometimes, if you do not have any grass established and your lawn is simply all weeds, you will need to speak to a professional and develop an overseeding strategy. Timing is pivotal when making these decisions so you do not waste any money on products being applied at the wrong time of the year.
* Consider fertilizing your lawn and speaking to a professional to understand exactly what kind you need and how much. This will help the grass keep its beautiful green color while making it a lot stronger.
* Enlist the help of a professional. Maybe you’ve tried to take care of your lawn yourself, but each time it just didn’t work out.
When you begin viewing each blade of grass as an individual plant, it opens up a desire and necessity to utilize proper products, at proper times, and in the right season to encourage that healthy growth and give your grass and soil everything it needs to thrive.
