Previous offices held or sought: Member, Woodland School Board

What is the most important issue facing the Woodland School Board?

School funding. Keeping the great staff that we currently have on a lower budget.

What in your education or background makes you qualified for this office?

I have served on the board now for six years and have seen many positive changes in the Woodland School District in the past four to five years. I feel as though I can be objective and help make decisions based on what I have seen work and not work in the district. I try also to see what other schools are doing and use that information to help our district.

Why are you better qualified than your opponent(s)?

I prefer not to say I am better qualified than anyone. I believe each person that is running for this position is qualified. However, I have children currently attending Woodland and am very proud of our district. I deal with wide variety of people every day through my work, and it is my hope that as a current board member that parents are comfortable with contacting me on issues in the past. Through these contacts with the public in and out of our district and past school board experience I think I can continue to be a qualified candidate once again for the Woodland School Board.
