Rehearsals for the Nov. 27 "Christmas Gloria" concert by the Choral Union began Aug. 21.
The concert will include Vivaldi's "Gloria" and a new setting of the "Gloria" text by the American composer Randal Alan Bass.
The Choral Union is a non-auditioned "open membership" choir composed of singers from the community and the university. The Choral Union is particularly interested in recruiting men this year.
The 150-member group rehearses at 7 p.m. Tuesdays in Room 205 at Brandt Music Hall. Dr. John Egbert is the director.
