The Southeast Chamber Players will perform Dec. 2 in a free concert that will culminate a project called the Children's Arts Festival.

Cape Girardeau students in grades three through six have been creating works of art inspired by music recorded by the Southeast Chamber Players. Seventy of the artworks have been printed in a booklet to be distributed at the concert.

Selected art from the project also will be displayed during December at Gallery 100 and the Lorimier Gallery.

The festival is a two-month project co-sponsored by the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri, the Cape Girardeau schools and the Missouri Arts Council.

The concert will begin at 3 p.m. at Old St. Vincent's Church.
