Four of Cape Girardeau Urology Associates doctors perform robotic assistance procedures.
Cape Girardeau Urology Associates introduced quality urological care to Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois in the late 1940s. The practice carries on the tradition of quality care today, being the largest single specialty group of urologists in the five-state area.
Cape Girardeau Urology Associates (CGUA) features seven full-time urologists who have a combined experience of over 75 years. The physicians are knowledgable on all aspects of male and female urologic disorders, with special interest in kidney stones, urological cancers, erectile dysfunction, pediatric urology, prostate disease, infections, laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery.
The group takes a multidisciplinary approach to combine medicines, therapies, and expertise across disciplines for the best treatment tailored to each patient.
Da Vinci Prostatectomy is the No. 1 choice for treatment of localized prostate cancer in the United States. This minimally invasive, robotic-assisted surgical procedure is rapidly being chosen by more patients and doctors, and four of CGUA's physicians are currently performing robotic assistance procedures.
Services are delivered in the office at 3 Doctor' Park, as well as Doctors' Park Surgery, Saint Francis Medical Center, Southeast Hospital and the outreach clinic at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
CGUA is a participating provider with Medicare, Missouri Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Healthlink PPO, Great West and Champus. At the present time they accept Medicaid patients in the Missouri and Illinois plans.
