Question 1: What are the strengths and weaknesses of the circuit clerk's office in Bollinger County?
Answer: All three people that work in the associate and circuit level are extremely competent and reliable and deserve a budget increase to update office equipment to better serve the public.
Question 2: What will be your policy on providing information to the media?
Answer: As the office involves juveniles, juror's notices, adoptions, etc. a lot of what is conducted in the office is not applicable to public knowledge.
Question 3: Is there currently good communication among the sheriff and police departments, the circuit court and the judges? What, if anything, could be improved?
Answer: Good communication and working rapport between the offices is paramount due to adult and/or child abuse instances for the safety of the victims involved in many cases.
Closing remarks: If elected to the office of Circuit Clerk I will strive to make the consolidation between the associate and circuit offices as smooth as possible. The public that comes into the two offices needs to be assured of fair and confidential handling of each individual case.
