What is the most important issue facing the Kelly School District?
Providing the most comprehensive and diverse education in the climate of dwindling resources. To ensure that our teachers are well educated and are teaching a balanced curriculum that will prepare our kids for the world they will be encountering. Discipline is also extremely important and the school must be an environment for learning that provides an opportunity for all to have a good experience. Our children deserve the best and the taxpayer deserves to see the funds well spent for all the children who attend Kelly.
What in your education or background makes you qualified for this office?
I attended both private and public schools and saw the best of both. I have a two-year degree in electronic engineering. I have owned a business and know very well the importance of a good education to succeed in any vocation.
Why are you better qualified than your opponent(s)?
I was raised in a small Illinois community. My father was a social worker for the state of Illinois and my mother was a Lutheran school teacher. The appreciation of a good education has been built into my value system ever since a child. I have four children attending Kelly and will be involved with this school for a very long time. I believe that Kelly is a great school, and I want to see it become even better. I believe in good academics, and I want to see Kelly not just meet the minimum standards in education but exceed the standards in education.
