Shea Brune shares what attracted her and her husband, Jef, to their home in the Walden Park neighborhood:
How long have you lived in your home?
We have lived here for three-and-a-half years; it will be four years in July.
What attracted you to the house?
We really like Craftsman style homes with open floor plans. We loved the house the moment we first saw it, but I think the first thing that really caught our attention was the great front porch. We were also really attracted to the overall community concept of the Walden Park neighborhood. Especially the proximity to things like the nature trail/center and the amenities like the pool and the clubhouse, which we have used for all types of parties and get-togethers. We really consider the clubhouse a 4,000-square-foot addition to our home.
What is your favorite room and why?
We love the open living room/dining room/kitchen concept, especially when we have family parties. We also really like the fact that our home is new construction meant to have a classic feel, with things like the built-in's around the fireplace, the pocket doors, craftsmmn molding throughout and the garage in the complete rear of the home that is unseen from the front of the house.
How would you describe your style?
Traditional with some modern touches. I like all types of styles, they just have to be blended well.
