Jason R. Wray

AGE: 31

FAMILY: Wife, Cori, son Zack, and daughter Hannah.

EMPLOYER: Creative Edge Inc.

POSITION: Owner/operator

COMMUNITY AND PROFESSIONAL INVOLVEMENT: Jackson, Cape, Perryville Chamber Member; on the board of directors for "The Vision House of Cape Girardeau."

HIS TYPICAL DAY:

On the EDGE ... of creativity! We are a tight deadline marketing/video production firm, so there is lots of stress, but it is balanced well with lots of fun, as well!

MOST SATISFYING PART OF HIS WORK:

Positive results. It is very rewarding to create a marketing product that causes increase for a client. I never get tired of seeing a client's face light up after seeing a high-end video or design that we created for them.

HIS WORST HAIRCUT:

In the late '80s-early '90s it was cool for guys to have "blond tips." Looking back, I was the ultimate nerd for getting sucked into that trend!

FAVORITE SONG FROM THE '80s:

Probably "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" by Poison

HIS BIGGEST FIRST-DAY BLOOPER:

This year, Creative Edge will celebrate 10 years in business, and I'm still making mistakes and learning as I go.

HIS MOST EMBARASSING WORK MOMENT:

Those that know me, know that I'm a goofball. I was a class clown through school, which I suppose crossed over into my professional life, as well. I don't get embarrassed easily, but once I had my office phone on "page all" and was having a semiprivate conversation with a fellow team member, unknowing that I was broadcasting the conversation to the entire building. I'm a little careful with the "page" button now.
