Whaley - Schuermann

James and Rita Whaley of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Dana Whaley, to Lee Schuermann, both of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of Michael and Mary Ann Schuermann of Florissant, Mo.

Whaley is a 1998 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University. She is an insurance coordinator at The Center for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Schuermann is a 2002 graduate of De Smet Jesuit High School in Creve Coeur, Mo. He received a master's degree in business administration from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo. He is a stockbroker with Scottrade Inc.

A July 14 wedding is planned at Trinity Lutheran Church in Shawneetown.
