Ron and Ginny Wene of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen Kay Wene, to Jason Alexander Cladis. Wene is a 1997 graduate of Woodland High School, and a 2001 graduate of Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences. She is a registered nurse at Southeast Hospital.

Cladis is a 1993 graduate of Fredericktown High School. He is an ironworker with Local 782 in Paducah, Ky.

An April 20 wedding is planned at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
