Welland-Swanner

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- David and Linda Welland of Perryville announce the engagement of their daughter, Mindy Welland, to Don Swanner Jr. of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of Donald and Madelene Swanner of Scott City.

Welland received a degree in elementary education from Southeast Missouri State University, and is pursuing a master's degree at Webster University. She is a fourth grade teacher with Cape Girardeau Public Schools.

Swanner received a degree in philosophy from Southeast University. He is general manager at Buckner Brewing Co.

A Sept. 27 wedding is planned at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.
