Ward - Mathis

Tim and Kendra Dixon Ward of Dexter, Mo., and John and Carolyn Russell of Oklahoma announce the engagement of their daughter, Brittany Ashton Ward, to Aaron Gregory Mathis. He is the son of Greg and Lisa Mathis of Dexter. Mrs. Ward is formerly of Jackson.

Ward is a 2004 graduate of Dexter High School. She expects to receive a degree in nursing in December from Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff, Mo. She is employed at Missouri Southern Healthcare Hospital and at Hickory Log in Dexter.

Mathis is a 2004 graduate of Dexter High School. He received a degree in mortuary science from Forest Park Community College in 2006. He is employed with Rainey-Mathis Funeral Homes in Dexter and Bernie, Mo.

A June 20 wedding is planned at First Baptist Church in Dexter.
