Vangilder is a 2007 graduate of Jackson High School. She expects to receive a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Southeast Missouri State University in December.

Busch is a 2007 graduate of Jackson High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in engineering from Southeast in May. He is pursuing a master's degree in micro electronics-photonics from the University of Arkansas.

A March 24, 2012, wedding is planned at Hanover Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
