Vangilder - Biri

Clay and Julie Vangilder of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Lauren Vangilder, to Derrick Lynn Biri. He is the son of Jim and Lisa Biri of Jackson.

Vangilder is a 2005 graduate of Jackson High School. She expects to receive a degree in health promotion from Southeast Missouri State University in May 2009. She is employed at Southeast Missouri Hospital's HealthPoint Fitness in Jackson.

Biri is a 2005 graduate of Jackson High School. He expects to receive a degree in organizational leadership management from Southeast in May 2009. He is employed at Bank of America.

The couple plans to be married Sept. 5, 2009, at Hanover Lutheran Church.
